Education And Schools
From pre-k to doctorate degrees, Florida’s Space Coast is home to a wide array of award-winning educational options. The county’s public school system, Brevard Public Schools (BPS). Of BPS’ 83 schools, 64 earned state Five Star awards for volunteerism and community engagement, 25 were deemed state Schools of Excellence, and six were named National Blue-Ribbon Schools (out of 12 in Florida). The Space Coast is also home to Florida Institute of Technology, a U.S. News & World Report, Forbes and The Princeton Review award-winning school, and Eastern Florida State College’s four campuses offering bachelor’s degrees, vocational certificates or training programs.
Health and Family Services
From one end of the county to the other, residents have access to exceptional healthcare through both Health First and Orlando Health. Health First, the Space Coast’s largest multispecialty provider, offers a full range of outpatient, wellness, home care, and hospice services. Orlando Health complements this with its regional network of high-quality hospitals, specialty care, and comprehensive clinical services, including its Melbourne facility. Together with other Space Coast Health providers, they ensure broad, reliable, and accessible care for the entire community.

With generations of military presence and over 65,000 veterans living here, the local military is part of the Space Coast DNA. Local military members, no matter where they are in their time of service, will find a place for support, advocacy and comradery.
